Gina is a professional dancer with Ballet Ariel, a ballet company based in Denver. She spent the last two seasons dancing with David Taylor Dance Theatre, where she was featured in Tom Ruud’s Mobile. She was born and raised in northern California where she trained under Keith J. Martin and BJ Martin at Ballet California & Academy. While attending University of Utah, Gina’s performed the principal role in Creer-King’s Eccentric Bloom, toured nationally as a member of Character Dance Ensemble, and performed with Utah Ballet. Gina was a founding member of the Salt Lake City based contemporary Christian dance company Spirit and Truth. Gina has been featured as a guest artist and soloist in roles such as Lead Mazurka in Swan Lake, Dewdrop and Snow Queen in The Nutcracker, and Fairy of Joy in Sleeping Beauty. Since moving to Colorado, Gina has had the opportunity to perform works by James Wallace, David Taylor, Gregory Dawson and Gregory Gonzales. Gina enjoys teaching dance to students of all ages, and especially loves passing on her love for the art and discipline of ballet. Since moving to Colorado two years ago she has taught at several dance schools in the Denver-Metro area and also coaches dancers in private ballet/pointe classes. Gina’s other passions include training in swing dance/lindy hop and performing in various theater/musical theater performances in the Denver-Metro area (she was recently featured in Performance Now Theatre Company’s “Oklahoma!” as Dream Laurey).
